Flying.............

I've thought about this questiona few times. If I could do one thing, what would it be? I would definitley want to be able to fly. This song by Pink Floyd is my second favorite song by them. This song is influenced by David Gilmour's passion for flying. Its interesting because him and Nick Mason (drummer) were afraid of flying for a while. The song is also about David Gimour becoming the leader because of Roger Waters leaving the band. The song also talks about a change in life, the way you live. You can hear Mason actually talking to the air traffic controller from his private plane in the middle of the song. Anyways, flying would be pretty sweet. If I could fly anywhere, anytime. I would want to fly over the eye of a hurricane. That would be pretty cool. I would visit different people all over the world and go places where nobody has ever gone before. When I listen to this song, I can kind of get the feeling that something is changing. I dont know how to explain it, but the sound sounds like it's flying to a certain place. This is another one of those relaxing songs with a meaning. But its not a clear meaning so it keeps you thinking. Yea, Floyd is pretty good. Wish you were here is my all time favorite though. That will be a blog for later on. Floyd is great though!

I heart David Gilmour. His album, About Face, zaps me right back to high school. His voice puts me in a trance. OK, not really, but he's got the magic going on.
